The failure of 4L89 from Coatbridge to Felixstowe near Brentwood resulted in NXEA scrambling 90006 from Ilford to assist, the liner was seen passing Ingatestone sone two hours behind schedule.

17th August - Blockbuster!
Virgin Trains used 57313 and Wembley based Mk3 set WB64 on an additional 'Blockbuster' service from Euston to Wolverhampton, the train was seen passing Saunderton.

Pathfinder Tours today ran 'The Grays-Church Elegy' railtour from Crewe to London Fenchurch Street, then out to the Thames Haven Refinery in Essex. With haulage in the form of 37401 and 37417 the charter was pictured at South Tottenham, Limehouse and two locations on the Thames Haven branch. Thanks to JB for being taxi.

Nevertheless, a few freights were observed in the short visit.

A quick visit to a field in sunny Hatfield Peverel for the ever reliable class 86 turn, 4S88 Felixstowe-Coatbridge.
04/04 - Evening Heritage freights
After a bit of scouting in the Chelmsford area, a small foot crossing in Boreham was located, phots are of the evening rush hour trains, and 4S88/6M69.
05/04 - London freights
Double headed 59s, WCRC stock moves, brand new fred 66582, various 60 hauled freights and 66419 on hire to Freightliner are all included from a busy day in the capital.
07/04 - Merrymaker to Llandudno and 37422 on North Wales Coast
A fantastic day on an Intercity MerryMaker from London Paddington to Llandudno, hauled by Riviera Trains 47839 and 812, also thrown in were Holyhead Pendolino drags and 37422 on the Anglesea Aluminium turn.

A quick visit to Rivenhall for lunchtime freights
17/03 - Welsh Ruggex Specials
A visit to Wales for the Rugby extras operated by Arriva Trains Wales, haulage was in the form of 47805, 812, 815 and 50049 - operating between Swansea and Cardiff and Gloucester and Cardiff.
23 & 24 - ON TOUR!!!
First off to Maidenhead for 37406 and 410 with an Old Oak Common - St.Blazey stock move, then onto Tamworth for the afternoon freights. In the evening we visited Crewe to phot various freights that use the station and 57302 coupling up to a Pendolino to take it forward to Holyhead. The 24th saw the use of 86101 on a Carlisle - Crewe charter and Cotswold duo 47813 and 828 on a Watford Junction - Carlisle special.
26/03 - 47501 rescues the Sizewell Nukes!
The failure of 20304 at Willesden Brent meant the Sizewell flasks were hauled by 47501 and 20302 throughout, the duo are pictured passing Rivenhall some 7 hours late!

Sunday visit to the Nene Valley, shame the weather was terrible!! - Three grids, three class 14s and a Metronet 66 in operation made up for it though!
05/03 - Tamworth High Level
The usual Tamworth high level freights, including 56303 on 4O90 and the usual procession of 66s and 60s, including the Loadhaul Beast itself 60007!
10/03 - 20/20 Vision and 47501 to Sizewell!!
20313, 314 and 315 on The 20/20 Vision charter form Crewe - Sizewell, with 47501 thrown in for good measure at Ipswich, the charter was pictured at Elmswell, Sizewell, Westhouse Farm Crossing near Saxmundham, Wickham Market and Needham Market, Ta JB for the driving!
